Can't download trend micro b/c of MS Outlook??

I'm so frustrated. I've been trying to download Trend Micro for 2 days, and each time I get this dialog box that says "You cannot install or remove the program with Microsoft Outlook running." I deleted outlook from my computer and closed everything that was running, but it still pops up. I think I have a virus or something, so many popups and spyware ads instead of pictures on websites. Thanks for any advice on what to do!

Where can I download sstream.o for C++ from the STL libary?

I wrote a program using g++ on linux, my program used the string stream from the STL. (#include %26lt;sstream%26gt;).





I am trying to compile it on windows using Cygnus solutions B20 g++ compile, but it does not have string stream built in to the library. Is there a way for me to download sstream.o and sstream.h so I can compile my program on windows??? If so where can i download these at??

You'll need to update your compiler to a version that uses GCC 3.0 or higher.





The best G++ compiler would either be the cygwin compiler you are using right now (though at it's latest version) (www.cygwin.com) or MinGW (www.mingw.org)

Visual C isn't a different language. The visual part refers to the fact that the IDE does things in a "visual" way ie place buttons on forms with point and click rather than coding positions manually.





It does come with some microsoft written extensions included. But if you code using the standards, it will compile with no problems.

I don't think you can download it. Especially not for free. It's still covered by copyright--so even if it's available, it's a felony to download it, and accessory to a felony to help someone else find it.

yes you can, but it really depends on the size of your harddrive. If you have a 50-100 GB hardrive, then downloading a movie shouldn't be a problem. But if you have a small hardrive, say 5-10 gb, then you probably could, but I wouldn't keep the movie after you watched it. Would take up too much space.

Reply:May B windows restore. Its in program - %26gt; accessories - %26gt; system tools. Make a restore point when ur adding new drivers, tools or any major changes to ur system. If anything go wrong after that u can restore ur pc to previous condition.

Sorry for the text language above. Anyway I want to download 8.0 but it says that my C drive hasnt got enough memory. I have deleted or moved uncessecary files but it still says it. What can I do to extend its memory or to free up more space? By the way the only files in that drive are: Documents and Settings (nearly empty), Program files ( wont let me delete anything), WINDOWS (loads of weird files)

DO NOT DELETE ANYTHING DIRECTLY FROM PROGRAM FILES OR WINDOWS IN C DRIVE YOURSELF(you may end up cleaning important programs required for proper functioning of the computer).sometimes when you have loads of stuff on your desktop,that eats up space in your c drive because the desktop is an extension of c drive.if you have any other drive other than the c drive(for e.g local disk D,E etc)then move all items from your desktop to these drives.now to free up some more space do the following-





1)click on start,then select run.type %temp% and press enter.when the temp folder opens delete everything you see in it(all garbage collected over time).





2)again open the run box and type prefetch.delete everything in the prefetch folder.





3)right click on the c drive icon and select properties.click on disk clean up.when the window opens,go to the more options tab and click on the system restore clean up button.then come back to the disk cleanup tab and check all boxes in the list.click ok.this will clean all unused dump files from c drive automatically.





4)see if hibernation is enabled in your computer.if it is disable it from the power options in the control panel.system restore points and hibernation images consume a huge space if allowed to accumulate.





5)uninstall all programs you dont use from add/remove programs(dont uninstall windows components even if you dont use them).





all these steps when done will free up a lot of space in your computer.then you can download your favourite stuffs.
Reply:Whatever you do, DO NOT delete anything in the windows directory.





Here are some things you can do.





Open Internet Explorer, select Internet Options and then delete temporary internet files.





Go to the control panel and select Add or Remove Programs and uninstall any programs you don't use. In general, if it's something you've never heard of you can delete it without any problems. If in doubt, Google the program to see what it is. Just be sure to reboot after every 2-3 programs.





Under My Documents, there may not be many files, but there are probably a lot of directories. If you have a lot of music or pictures, consider backing some up to CD/DVD so you don't have to keep them on your hard drive.





Empty your Recycle Bin.





Lastly, run a defrag. Especially if you delete a lot of files/programs. It is likely you have data scattered all over your hard drive. Defragmenting will group similar data and organize everything. This will help your computer run faster and it will group all the empty space together. Defrag is under Accessories%26gt;System Tools on the start menu.





If none of this creates enough space then you must have a tiny hard drive. I would recommend buying a new one and then use your system restore disk (if you have one) to reinstall Windows.

You can change the download directory on your internet setting for the browser so it ask you for where you want to save the file every time you download. You can move files from C to D drive by drag and drop or using the "send to" command by right clicking on the folders or files. Programs and windows directories SHOULD NEVER be moved since you can corrupt your system folders.
Reply:Go to My computer. Find the Program on C drive and copy it over to D drive. This only works if the Program isn't dependent on Windows (which is on C) . Like files like MP3 and pictures and be moved, but for your to do it with like word it won't work.

Turbo C is a commerical C complier from Borland and it's written to run in MS-DOS. Your windows might have been set up to run MS-DOS programs in background hence it appeared when you clicked it to run. It ran in a DOS-windows then windows closed it up to continuous running in the background hence you could not see it anymore.





Try run it again, after the windows disappeared, close all windows that are currently opened on the screen. You should be able to see the DOS window there.





By the way, Turbo C is not a free program ... it has never been free. If you happen to get it for free from some one or online then it's certainly a pirated copy.

this depends on what operating system you're using, first of all. If you're using linux it should be simple, if your distro didn't start with opengl, in terminal type





sudo apt-get install synaptic





which is a GUI repository browser, run a search for opengl and you'll be able to see all the various libraries. Pick the basic opengl download, make sure the c libraries are all checked, and then apply, synaptic will download, install and configure them.





For Windows, I don't know. Go to the source, find the official site of opengl's dev team, and the info for installing and configuring it shouldbe there.

No, you need a completed CV to apply for jobs - if you send a blank one it will be no good.





General CV would be your contact details at the top, followed by a quick summary of who you are (in a job sense), then a quick work history with the most relevant at the top. After that add education (most recent first) and then hobbies and at the end the names of 2 references they can use. If you are just leaving education, then swap the education and work history bit round.








Remember its selling you so add your best bits, dont make anything up, and make it clear and readable.





There are loads of blank CV's out there. To get ideas look at some of the job websites and go through the registration process (you dont have to complete it) to see what details they want you to enter and uses this information as a basis of what you put on yours.

Create yourself a folder called 'Downloads" for what you download on line, from inside that folder make sub folders with the name of the file your downloading example (Spybot, Adobe, AVG) etc.

Your best bet is Microsoft Visual C++ Express. It doesn't have all the whizbang stuff that comes with Visual Studio but it is free and very high quality.

Reply:All you need to do is look at the front of it. Does it have a button you can press that pops a little holder out that you can put a cd in? If you cant tell if your machine has a cd drive, you probably shouldnt even be concerned with trying to download and install a driver.

My short answer: Consider another development environment.





The long answer: The Dev-C++ IDE was written in Delphi. Although Borland has released a Delphi IDE/Compiler for Linux ( http://www.borland.com/kylix/ ) called Kylix, source code developed with Delphi often requires significant effort port the code to Linux Kylix. Delphi code often relies on ActiveX and OLE controls which are windows only components. Also the database support is completely different on Linux, again do to Microsoft specific APIs used within Delphi. To make a long story short, the Dev-C++ developers chose to port it to Linux using Pascal, a cousin of Delphi.





Because of the difficulties associated with porting the project and lack of interest in the project from the Linux crowd the project is still very beta and hasn't been touched since 2001. However you can still get the tarball from:

The windows version of Dev-C++ however remains active with version 5 in beta and a stable version of 4.9.something. The Linux version is a 2001 beta version 0.7.0.





Which brings me back to the short answer: Consider another development environment. KDevelop ( http://www.kdevelop.org/ ) is a good alternative and comes with many Linux distros. For painless installation I'd recommend using the package manager that comes with your Linux distro to install it or download a distribution specific package (.rpm, .deb, etc).

Also look through FAQs and such at http://www.linuxforums.org/ . If you are wanting to make Gnome or KDE graphical apps with C++, the I would recommend QtDesigner - a very nice graphical IDE, much nicer than my experiences of Dev-C++!

Reply:I agree with Rawlyn. Dev C++ is a windows app with the cygwin port. If you are looking for an IDE in Linux for C++ development, Anjuta in Gnome or KDevelop in KDE are good. I have used KDevelop personally, and I think it is pretty good. Don't expect the features in VS2005.





If you are just looking for editing C++ source, without involving all the hassles of an IDE, KWrite, Vi or Emacs get the job done.





@Rawlyn - I am not sure about the relevance of QTDesigner here. A Dev C++ equivalent would be just an IDE. UI RAD development on top of it would be an overkill, making it harder for the OP to learn quickly.
