When you download a file in IE 7 with XP OS where does the computer store the file while its downloading and c
Go to Start %26gt; Search %26gt; Files and Folders%26gt; and type in the file name, it will attempt to locate it for you. Next time, suggest you tell it to download to a particular folder.

Create yourself a folder called 'Downloads" for what you download on line, from inside that folder make sub folders with the name of the file your downloading example (Spybot, Adobe, AVG) etc.
Reply:default dowlnoaded file stored on my document
Reply:It either goes to the default download directory or where you tell it to go. The default download directory can change if you have set the program to access the last directory downloaded to.

Always use Save As if you get the chance. Then you can tell IE where to save it and under what name.
Reply:if you go to my computer, then to documents and settings. Find the folder that is the user account you logged on with. Then if you go to tools at the top (on the file menu) go to folder options, second tab in is view, select it. you will see a show hidden files and folder, select it and uncheck the next two checkboxes. then you should see a local setting folder under the user account folder. click it then you will see the temp folder.

C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\Local Settings\Temp
