Can I download either C++ or Visual Basic from website? Does anybody know if such website exists?

1.) Microsoft Visual Basic 2005 or Visual C++ Express Edition:

Don't forget to download also the Service packs provided in the page.

I highly recommend the Microsoft edition than the below mentioned alternatives ...

For other C++ IDEs (lighter than VS C++):

2.) Dev C++:

3.) Code::Blocks:

Microsoft offers Visual studio Express editions for free. Just go to the microsoft website and look around they're there somewhere.
Reply:You can download turbo C++ free of cost

Reply:There are sites but they arent legal. So, yes, you could download it but I dont think you'll know how to explain to the cops at your door.
