How do i download music off c d to keep it on pc then put it on mp3 player please help?

Update your computer to the latest version of Media Player and set the ripping settings to Best and MP3 not WMA.

Put the CD into the drive and wait for the box to pop up. When it does, just select 'Rip Music using Media Player' and sit back.

If a prompt comes up that media player cannot play a file with a "." extension, click "Cancel" and press the "Start Ripping" button at the bottom right.

Some CD's contain software to stop you or slow you down, If any dialogue box comes up saying to update or install software, click NO otherwise you will have problems later. Most of these discs are Sony and BMG music, but you can easily defeat their systems as long as you don't install anything.

If you have the PC connected to the Internet whilst ripping the CD, Media Player will insert all of the track details if they are available.

I do this and then use iTunes to put tracks on my iPod. That way you can have the best of both worlds with regard to compatibility.

If your MP3 player is a flash drive unit, then you just need to copy and paste the folders to the appropriate drive letter and your done!

just load the cd, if you dont get the option box, open your media player and hit rip.
Reply:It is illegal, unless of course you may be talking about royalty free CDs. Otherwise you have only paid for the CD version of a recording, which gives you no right to rip it. It's worse than taping the TV or radio.
Reply:Apart from the fact that I think it is illegal:

1. You can just copy them to your hard drive.

2. You need some conversion software - there is loads out there.
Reply:It's really simple, what you have to do is put your cd in and then locate the file meaning go into folders my computer .....ect

And then copy and paste it into another file once you have done that, take the cd out and then plug you mp3 in....then go to start%26gt;my computer then clik on the little memory stick icon... once thats done..you ar now officaly in the mp3 folder now all you have to do is go to you cd folder were you saved it and paste it into you'r mp3 simple ! ;)
Reply:I suggest using a programme such as Music Jukebox. It is free to download and use and it rips music from the CD and converts it to MP3. You can then put it on your MP3 player.

Just do a Google search for it and it will come up.
