hi kylie, before you get into these complicated fileing first you should learn the basic window like C:\ driver is your system while if you are running windows Vista you are using an E:\ or a D:\ driver for windowsXP for your dvd the best help you can get is for your windows like Vista or XP. the only way your drivers will work is by an adaptor your harddrive hold your system and ram is memory but everything works off of your processor. That is the basic so i would get to know my machine and everything will come together later but microsoft has a lot of information and technet you got to want to learn so your windows for dummies is a good and if you have a vista window vista magazine is has got a lot of info but you cannot learn it all at once so hit start, help and support can give a lot of information and your manual that came with your pc that is how i learned a lot of fun. hope i was helpful good luck but i would learn regular maintance first that is the most important thing start, programs, accesseries and system tools clean system first experience a lot of fun then defragment after cleaner later you can set them up to come on automaticly later.
Reply:HEY HEMPPY did you post to the wrong questiion? I can't make head or tail of your answer in relation to C++ programming????

Hi Kylie

lots of online c++ tutorials this one looks quite official

http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/

do you have Win XP or higher? get a second video card (cheap one would do) and a second monitor (again, cheap one maybe secondhand ) and you can run the tutorial on one screen while doing the exercises on the other. Later you'll find most C compilers are prepared to run the debug screen on a second monitor, VERY useful to see the debug and source at the same time.

good luck, once you get past Hello World you'll be hooked
