There are many IDEs available for C and C++. Turbo C environment is very popular in students for start up. You can try Quick C or Borland C also. Just have a search and you will get the free setups easily.

Try searching "c++ express" for microsoft free version of C++, (can also do C).





Linux should have a gcc built in???
